WEST BENGAL LEGAL SERVICE EXAMINATION, 2018
No. of Vacancies: 35 Nos. (UR-15, SC-06, ST-02, BC-10, PH-02)
Educational Qualification:
i) Degree in Law from a recognized University.
ii) Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).
Age Limit: Minimum 23 years and maximum 36 years as on 01.01.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.15,600-42,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/-
The vacancies are in West Bengal Legal Service. The candidates will be initially appointed on Temporary basis.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than West Bengal shall be treated as General Candidates.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 09 years for PWD category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Personality Test. The Written Examination will be held in Kolkata centre only in 2nd week of December,2018. The Personality Test will be held at the Commission’s office in Kolkata.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.210/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST CANDIDATES OF WEST BENGAL AND PWD CANDIDATES.
