SENIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICER, BALLISTICS DIVISION – HOME AND HILL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification:
i) Second class Master’s Degree in Physics/ Mathematics from a recognized University or
equivalent.
ii) Five years’ experience of analytical methods and research.
OR
i) Degree in Science with Physics/ Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized
University or equivalent.
ii) Seven years’ experience in Forensic Ballistics.
Note: Candidates must able to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).
Desirable: Experience of work in a recognized Forensic Science Laboratory.
Age Limit: Maximum-36 years on 01.01.2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.15, 600 – Rs. 42,000 and Grade Pay Rs.5400/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Screening Test/Written Test and Interview.
