MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTOR (TECHNICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 234 Nos. (UR-113, OBC-39, SC-51, ST-19, MSP-04, PWD-08)
Educational Qualification:
i) Passed Madhyamik examination or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
ii) Must have a diploma in automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institution or its equivalent.
iiii) Must possess a Driving Licence for heavy vehicles.
iv) Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not applicable to candidates whose mother tongue is nepali).
Experience: Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a Workshop/ Factory of Automotive O.E.M. (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or O.E.M.-authorised Workshop / Service Centre.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 39 years as on 01.01.2018
Pay Scale: Rs. 7,100/- – Rs.37,600/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,100/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Note: Reserved Category candidates of other States than West Bengal will be treated as Unreserved (General) category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Screening Test/ Written Test and Interview.
