Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is recruiting eligible candidates for 02 posts of Project Fellow. The vacancies are for the Project entitled “Human-wildlife conflict resolution mechanism in the Indian Himalayan Region: Risk assessment, Prediction, and Management through Research and Community engagement (NMHS-HWC Project)” funded by MoEFCC (NMHS Programme). The candidates will be appointed on Cotractual basis for a period of Nine (09) months (up to March 2020). WILDLIFE INSTITUTE OF INDIA (WII) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 02 POSTS OF PROJECT FELLOW. WALK-IN DATE — 01/07/2019

 

PROJECT FELLOW

No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.

 

Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Environmental Science or related subjects.

Desirable:

i) Experience of working in the Indian Himalayan Region, human-wildlife conflicts issues, Knowledge/ experience in abundance estimation, telemetry, socio-economic/ attitude/ conflict surveys, and conflict resolution methods.
ii) Knowledge in the use of data analytical software relevant to wildlife sciences.

 

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.

 

Consolidated Pay: Rs. 16,000/- (Rs. 25,000/- for NET/GATE qualified candidates) per month.

 

The vacancies are for the Project entitled “Human-wildlife conflict resolution mechanism in the Indian Himalayan Region: Risk assessment, Prediction, and Management through Research and Community engagement (NMHS-HWC Project)” funded by MoEFCC (NMHS Programme). The candidates will be appointed on Cotractual basis for a period of Nine (09) months (up to March 2020).

The candidates will be required to work at Field sites in the Indian Himalayan Region and HQ.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Scrutiny of Documents followed by Interview.
