Name of the post: Agriculture Assistant (Clerical Cadre)
Vacancies: 1000 Nos. (Vacancies were State wise)
In West Bengal (State Code-32): 30 Nos. (Gen-17, OBC-6, SC-6, ST-1)

Qualification: Graduate from Agricultural College or University and ability read, write and speak the regional language of the state on where candidates wish to apply. Candidates should have computer literacy certificate.
Age: Candidates should be between 18yrs to 28yrs as on 1-7-2011. Age relaxation: OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs, PH-10yrs and Ex-Serviceman- as per norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.7200 to Rs.19300
Job will be on Probation for first 2yrs. At beginning salary will be Rs.13105.
Selection process: For selection of candidates Written Test will be held either Offline or Online on 22nd jan-2012 at the respective centres. For West Bengal, centre will be Kolkata (Code No.61).
Written Test will be Objective Types on following four topics—(I) Test of Reasoning, (II) Numerical Ability, (III) Computer Awareness and (IV) English Language. There will be 200 Nos. questions of 150 Marks. Negative marking will be there. Time allotted- 2 hrs.
Succesful candidates from Written Test will be called for Interview. Call letter for Written test can be downloaded from the official website of Syndicate Bank after dated 9/1/2012 at—http://www.syndicatebank.in
How to Apply: Candidates should have their own email id. Online application can be made from the official website of the Syndicate Bank- http://www.syndicatebank.in by last 15th December.
Before applying online candidates should deposit the exam fee of Rs.500 (Rs.50 for SC/ST and PH) from any CBS branch of Syndicate Bank at the following account No.—01113170000169 with Manipal Branch in the name & Style of Syndicate Bank Agricultural Assistants in Clerical Cadre Recruitment Project-2011-12”.
After depositing the amount visit the bank’s website and fill the form as instructed. After submitting the application form, computer generated acknowledge form with Registration No. will appear on the computer screen. Make print-out copy of this generated from and keep safely for further use.
