JUDGESHIP OF BIRBHUM IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 22 POSTS OF ENGLISH STENOGRAPHER (GROUP B), LOWER DIVISION CLERK (GROUP “C”), ENGLISH TYPISTS- COPYIST (GROUP “C”) AND PEON / FARASH/ NIGHT GUARD (GROUP “D”). LAST DATE — 20.05.2016
1. English Stenographer (Group B): 02 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01)
Educational Qualification:Â Madhyamik or equivalent examination with a Certificate in Computer Training and good Fingering Speed in Computer operation.
Candidates must have minimum speed of @ 80 wpm in Shorthand and minimum speed of @ 30wpm in typewriting.
Age Limit:Â Minimum-18 years and maximum-40 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale:Â Rs.7100/- Rs.37.600/- and Grade Pay Rs.3900/-
2. Lower Division Clerk (Group “C”): 15 Nos. (UR-07, OBC-03, ST-01, SC-04)
Educational Qualification:Â Madhyamik or equivalent examination with a Certificate in Computer Training and good Fingering Speed in Computer operation.
Age Limit:Â Minimum-18 years and maximum-40 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale:Â Rs.5400/- Rs.25, 200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2600/-
3. English Typists- Copyist (Group “C”): 03 Nos. (SC-01, ST-02)
Educational Qualification:Â Madhyamik or equivalent examination with a Certificate in Computer Training and good Fingering Speed in Computer operation.
Candidates must have minimum typing speed of @ 30 wpm in English.
Age Limit:Â Minimum-18 years and maximum-40 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale:Â Rs.5400/- Rs.25, 200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2600/-
4. Peon / Farash/ Night Guard (Group “D”): 02 Nos. (UR-02)
Educational Qualification:Â Class VIII pass
Age Limit:Â Minimum-18 years and maximum-40 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale:Â Rs.4900/- Rs.16, 200/- and Grade Pay Rs.1700/-
Upper Age Relaxation:Â Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
SC / ST / OBC Candidates residing permanently outside West Bengal will be treated as General candidates.
Candidates’ Selection:Â
i) For the Post of English Stenographer there will be Dictation & Transcription Test, General English Test, Typing Test, Personality Test and Computer operation Test.
ii) For the Post of Lower Division Clerk there will be Written Examination, Personality Test and Computer operation Test
iii) For the Post of English Typist-Copyist there will be Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Personality Test and Computer operation Test.
iv) For the Post of Peon / Farash / Night Guard there will be Written Examination and Personality Test.
Note: Candidates can apply for any one of the post only.

Application Fee:Â Candidates must pay Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- in case of SC / ST Candidates) for English Stenographer Group B and Lower division clerk & English Typist Copyist Group “C” AND Rs.100/- and (Rs.50/- in case of SC, ST candidates) for the post of Group “D” Peon / Farash / Night Guard, as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Bank only by means of Fee Payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Judgeship of Birbhum.
