State Bank of India is recruiting 7740 Boys and Girls for the post of “Clerk” in Clerical Cadre for its 5 Nos. Associates Banks, viz— State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala and State Bank of Travancore. Advt.No. CRPD/ABCL/2012-13/01. Educational Qualification: Minimum Higher Secondary pass (Class 10+2) or equivalent with 60% marks in aggregate (55% of marks in case of SC/ST/PWD/ Ex-Serviceman)
OR
A Degree (Graduation level) from recognised University in any discipline.
Candidates should be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Knowledge in local language will be taken as extra qualification.
Age limit: candidates must be within 18yrs to 28yrs as on 01/08/2012. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; OBC—3yrs; PWD—10yrs; Widows/ Divorced women and legally separated women—9yrs and Ex-serviceman & Others—as per norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.7200—Rs.19300 plus other allowances.
Selected candidates for the posts will be on probation for period of 6 months.
Selection Steps: Selection will be through Written Test and Interview. Written test will be of Objective type consisting of (i) General Awareness (ii) General English (iii) Quantitative Aptitude (iv) Reasoning Ability (v) Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge. The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be printed bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.
There will be negative marking for wrong answers. Qualified candidates from written examination will be called for Interview.
Date of written examination: 07/10/2012 and 14/10/2012 (Sunday). Syllabus and information on Written Examination will be provided to the eligible candidates along with Call letters in due course.
Call letter will be available on the official site of Bank after 24/09/2012 for downloading. No call letter will be send to the candidates by post.
How to Apply: Apply Online from the official website of State Bank of India — www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in and open the appropriate Online Application Format given under “Recruitment Link”.
Candidates should fill the form properly. After successful submission of form; a system generated “Fee Payment Challan” will appear on the screen. Candidates should print-out this fee payment challan and should deposit the requisite fee from any branch of the Bank.
During registration; candidates will have to upload scan image of their passport size photograph and signature, therefore they should keep ready such files during filling the online application.
Application Fee: Candidates should pay Application fee of Rs.350/- (Rs.50 in case of SC/ST/PWD/Ex-serv.). Fee payment will be accepted from 2nd working day after registration and can be made within three working days at any branch of State Bank of India. System generated fee payment challan will be used for depositing fee. Once fee is paid, the registration process is completed. Candidates may also opt to pay Application fee through Online system (Credit card/ debit card/ Net banking). In such cases, after successful payment of Application fee; candidates should print-out the system generated form for future use.
Candidate will receive registration confirmation by SMS/e-mail after 3 working days from the date of payment of fees. Candidate must ensure to furnish correct Mobile number / e-mail address to receive the registration confirmation.
After receiving the confirmation No. candidates should revisit the bank’s website and should print-out their submitted Application for future correspondence.
There is no need to send any documents or forms to the bank. All the documents verification, fee payment verification and etc will be done during Interview.
