Cochin Shipyard Limited is recruiting 312 Fabrication/Outfit Assistant/ Crane Operator AND General Fabricator/ Outfitter/ Crane Operator, in the following trades – Sheet Metal Worker, Welder, Plumber, Mechanic, Electrician, Shipwright wood, Painter, Crane Operator and Etc. Name of Posts and Qualification:
FABRICATION/ OUTFIT ASSISTANT/  CRANE OPERATOR
Trades – Sheet Metal Worker, Welder, Fitter Pipe (Plumber), Diesel Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Shipwright Wood, Painter and Crane Operator (EOT Cranes).
Qualification: Pass in SSLC, ITI (NTC) and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade AND minimum 03yrs post qualification experience in a Shipyard or Engineering company.
For Crane Operator: Pass in SSLC, ITI (NTC) and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the trade of Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic AND minimum 03 years post qualification experience in operating EOT cranes in a Shipyard or Engineering Company.

GENERAL FABRICATOR/ OUTFITTER/ CRANE OPERATOR
Trades – Sheet Metal Worker, Welder, Fitter Pipe (Plumber), Diesel Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Shipwright Wood, Painter and Crane Operator (EOT Cranes).
Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI (NTC) Certificate in the respective trade AND minimum 03yrs post qualification experience in a Shipyard or Engineering company.
For Crane Operator: Pass in SSLC and ITI (NTC) Certificate in the trade of Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic AND minimum 03yrs post qualification experience in operating EOT cranes in a Shipyard or Engineering company.

1. Sheet Metal Worker — 132 Nos. 
2. Welder— 21 Nos.
3. Fitter Pipe (Plumber)— 97 Nos.
4. Diesel Mechanic— 22 Nos.
5. Instrument Mechanic— 9 Nos. 
6. Electrician— 8 Nos.
7. Electronic Mechanic— 2 Nos.
8. Shipwright Wood— 2 Nos. 
9. Painter— 15 Nos. 
10. Crane Operator (EOT Cranes)— 4 Nos.

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 01/06/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Remuneration:
i). Fabrication/Outfit Assistant/Crane Operator – Consolidated pay of Rs. 14000/-pm and compensation for extra hours of work limited to Rs. 4200/- per month.
ii). General Fabricators/General Outfitter/General Crane Operator- Consolidated pay of Rs. 12000/- pm and compensation for extra hours of work limited to Rs. 3500/- per month.

The engagement of the candidates will be on contract basis for two years.

Selection of the candidates will be through Interview and Practical Test which will be conducted on 20th July,2014 at Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
Date of interview/practical test will be intimated through SMS/email to shortlisted candidates. Schedule for test & interview will be published on Cochin Shipyard website. Those candidates who are short-listed and intimated need to appear for the interview.
