Indian Air Force invites Unmarried Males for Airmen in Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades. Last Dt. 23/05/2013

Indian Air Force is inviting application from unmarried Male candidates for selection test in August 2013 to join as Airmen in Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades. Only males may apply. Citizens of Nepal are also eligible to apply. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed format. Qualification norms and criteria in brief is given below —

AIRMEN IN GROUP ‘X’ (TECHNICAL) TRADES
Technical Trades are as follows —
Workshop Fitter (Mechanica/ Smith), Structure Fitter, Propulsion Fitter, Weapon Fitter, Electronic Fitter, Mechanical System Fitter and Automobile Fitter. 

Educational Qualification: Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English OR 3yrs Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma.

Age limit: Candidates must be born between 01-September,1993 to 30-December,1996 (both days inclusive)

Physical Standards: —
Height: 152.5 cms
Chest: Expansion by 5 cms.
Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
Candidates must be medically fit and physically free from any deformity/ disease

Pay Scale: During training period, a stipend of Rs.8550/- pm will be paid and after completion of training, pay scale will be – Rs.21414—Rs.37788 per month plus other allowances as per norms. Refer the Advt. Link below for details.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test , Physical Fitness Test, Interview, Trade Allocation Test and Medical Examination. Ref the Advt. For details.

The Application form along with attested copies of testimonials in support of Qualification, Age, Caste, Etc and one unstamped self-addressed envelope (24cmX10cm, white envelope), should be addressed to — President, Central Airmen Selection Board, Post Box No. 11807, New Delhi—110 010.

Superscribe the top of the application containing envelope with the following lines in Bold letter—
(i) “FOR GROUP ‘X’ (TECHNICAL) TRADES”
(ii) “AGGREGATE PERCENTAGE OF MARKS …….…%

Last Date of Application: The application form must reach the above address on or before 23rd May 2013 (including candidates from North Eastern Region/ Far flung areas).
The application form is to be sent only by ORDINARY POST. Application sent through Speed/ Registered post will not be accepted.
