INDIAN COAST GUARD INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF NAVIK (GENERAL DUTY). LAST DATE — 02/01/2018
NAVIK (GENERAL DUTY)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 passed with 50% aggregate marks and minimum 50% aggregate in Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Central/State Government (45% marks for SC/ST candidates and outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in any field sports events at the Open National Championship/ Interstate National Championship).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years
Pay Scale: Rs. 21700/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 157 cms.; Chest (unexpanded) — Should be well proportioned; Chest (expanded) — able to expand by 5 cm; Weight — Proportionate to height and age.
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination. Test may be conducted in the month of Feb – Mar 2018 at the various centre acros the country.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
