Junior Engineer through SSC Junior Engineer-2012 Examination for Department of CPWD, DP, MES, CWC and Farakka Barrage.

Some hundreds of boys/girls for the post of  “Junior Engineer” is recruiting by five departments—Central Public Works Department, Department of Post, Military Engineering Service, Central Water Commissions and Farakka Barrage, for various works purposes. Recruitments were in discipline of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract. Details below—

Post: Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract)
Qualification:-
(i) Candidates with Diploma course of Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from recognized Institute may apply for the post “Junior Engineer (Civil and Electrical) in Central Public Works Department.
Vacancies: 192 Nos. in Civil and 186 Nos. in Electrical.
Age: within 18yrs to 27yrs.
(ii) Candidates with Diploma course of Civil or Electrical Engineering may apply for the post “Junior Engineer (Civil and Electrical)” in Department of Post.
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs. No. of vacancies is not yet declared and will be informed later.
(iii) Candidates with diploma course of Civil Engineering and minimum 2yrs of experience in field of Planning, Execution and Maintenance may apply for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) in Military Engineering Service. Candidates who have done degree in Civil Engineering were also eligible to apply.
Vacancies: 155 Nos. in Civil
Age: Within 30yrs of age.
(iv) Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree course pass candidates may apply for “Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical)” in Military Engineering Service (MES). 3yrs diploma course done candidates on mechanical and Electrical Engineering with work experience of minimum 2yrs in field of Work Planning, Execution and Maintenance were also eligible to apply. 
Vacancies: 91 Nos. in Electrical and Mechanic
Age: Within 30yrs of age.
(v) Candidates with diploma course of Civil Engineering may apply for – Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying and Contract) in Military Engineering Service.
Age: Within 18yrs to 27yrs
Vacancies: 13 Nos.
(vi) Candidates with Diploma or Degree Course in Civil or Mechanical Engineering may apply for  the post “Junior Engineer (Civil and Mechanical)” in Central Public Works Department and Farakka Barrage.
Age: Within 32yrs of age.
Vacancies: In CPWD- 82 Nos. in Civil and 23 Nos. Mechanical. The vacancies in  Farakka Barrage will be known later.
For all the above mentioned posts, age should be counted as on 1-1-2012. Age relaxation for OBC-3yrs, SC/ST- 5yrs and PH-10yrs, Ex-Serviceman- as per norms.
Candidates should possess sound health mentally and physically. Medical examination will be taken.
Salary: Rs.9300 to 34800 and Grade Pay—Rs.4200
Candidates’ Selection: Candidates will be selected by Staff Selection Commission through Junior Engineer-2012 Examination. All India Written Test will be on 8th April. Written Test will be on 2 papers. First paper will be of Objective Multiple Choice Types on followings—(I) General Intelligence and Reasoning, (II) General Awareness, (III) General Engineering (Civil and Structural)/ General Engineering (Electrical/ Mechanical)
Second paper will be of Descriptive Types on Engineering branch. Candidates qualified in first paper will be allowed to appear for second paper.

How to Apply: Application can be submitted Online or Offline. To apply online, visit the official website—http://www.ssconline.nic.in 
After submitting Part-I registration form, candidate will require to pay the Examination fee of Rs.100/ either through Net Banking or by cash deposit in any branch of State Bank of India through Fee Challan receipt. After depositing the fee, go for part-II registration. After successful registration make print-out of the computer generated registration slip and keep safely. During online registration candidates will require to provide scan copy of signature and passport size image.
To apply Offline—to apply offline candidates will have to prepare application form as per format which is available to download from official website of SSC.
No fee required for Female, SC/ST, Ex-Serv. and PH candidates. Do not send more than one application.

For Online Application—part-I registration can be made till 8th Feb and Part-II registration can be made till 10th Feb,2012
For Offline—Application should reach within 10th Feb (17th Feb for far flung areas) at the following address— candidates of West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman Nicobar Island, Odisha and Jharkhand should sent their application at – “The Regional Director (ER), Staff Selection Commission, Nizam Palace, 1st MSO Building (8th Floor), 234/4, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Road, Kolkata, West Bengal—700 020”.
Candidates from Assam, Tripura along with North-Eastern Region may sent at“The Regional Director (NER), Staff Selection Commission, Rukmini Nagar, P.O. Assam Sachivalaya, Guwahati, Assam- 781 006”.
Candidates from Bihar should sent at“The Regional Director (CR), Staff Selection Commission, 8-AB, Beli Road, Allahabad-211002, Uttar Pradesh”.
