Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC of India) is recruiting approximately 10772 persons for the post of “Direct Sales Executives” for their various offices in Central Zone, East Central Zone, East Zone, North Central Zone, South Central Zone, South Zone and West Zone. The appointment will be on contract basis which will be of 3 years. Bachelor’s degree holders may apply. Details in brief is given below—
DIRECT SALES EXECUTIVE (DSE) — 2012

Required Qualification: Candidates willing to appear for DSE- 2012 in LIC should be minimum Bachelor’s Degree holder in any discipline.
Preference will be given to the candidates who have done Degree or Diploma in Marketing/ Management.
Desirable— Speaking ability in English and Local Language of the particular zone/ division is desirable. Knowledge of Computer and skills in application such as Power Point/ MS Word/ MS Excel will be additional advantage.
Age limit and relaxation: The candidates should be between 21yrs to 35 yrs as on 1/5/2012. Age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs and Ex-Serviceman- as per norms.
Remuneration/ Salary: Upon selection of DSE, the monthly remuneration will be entirely on basis of performance.
Selection Steps of candidates: Written Test will be held followed by an Interview. The Written Test will be of Objective Type on topics — (i) Sales Aptitude, (ii) Test of Reasoning, (iii) Numerical Ability and (iv) General knowledge.
The written test will be held at the centre where Direct Marketing Unit applied for is located.
The date and venue of written test will be intimated to the eligible candidates through email as well as will be available on the official website of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) — http://www.licindia.in
Candidates who have qualified in Written Test will be called for Interview. Finally there will fitness test which will be carried by the Medical Examiner authorized by LIC.
Upon appointment, the candidates will have to undergo insurance related training as an apprenticeship DSE. During this period a fixed one-time stipend of Rs.3500 will be given.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship training and passing the test, the candidates will be absorbed as a Direct Sales Executive purely on contract basis as per terms and conditions laid by the Corporation.

Before making the online application, candidates will have to deposit the Application Fee of Rs.100.
Application Fee: Candidates are required to deposit Application fee of Rs.100 (Not required for SC/ST categories) in cash at the cash counter during cash hours of any Branch Office of Life Insurance Corporation of India under Account Code—114034. SC/ST candidates do not require to pay application fee.
After depositing the application fee, visit the official website of LIC and fill the online application form without providing/ making any false statement/ mistakes.
After making successful submission of application form; a system generate unique Password and Registration Number will be displayed on the computer screen. Candidates should memorize this. They can later login through this Registration No. and Password and can view their application details. Candidates are advised to make print-out copy of this submitted application form for future use. The generated password and Registration No. will be also emailed to the candidates upon successful registration.
N.B: There is no need to send any application form by post to the office address of LIC. All the required documents in Original and in attested copies, Print-out Application, Fee making receipt should need to produce during Interview. Candidates should paste passport size photograph on the print-out application as well as candidates should keep spare copies of same photographs for future use.
Last Date: Online application form can be made on and within 12th June 2012. Application fee can be made within – 22/06/2012.
