Unmarried Boys as “Navik” in Indian Navy through the scheme of Artificer Apprentice providing free training.

Indian Navy under the scheme of “Artificer Apprentice” along with Training is recruiting some hundreds of unmarried males for the post “Navik”. Higher Secondary pass candidates with 55% of marks in aggregate with subjects – Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science may apply.

Date of birth of the candidates should be within 1-8-1992 to 31-7-1995. Height of the candidate should be – 157cms and ability to expand chest by 5cms. Weight should be proportional to Age and Height.
Eyesight with good eye without glass should be 6/12 and with bad eye 6/12 And with Glass the good eye should be 6/9 whereas bad eye should be 6/12. Color recognise ability CPII.

During the period of training stipend will be given. Salary after that will be Rs.5200 to 20200 and Grade pay- Rs.2000.
Job will be of 20yrs and which may extend until the candidate reaches the age of 57yrs.

On basis of marks obtained in H.S. candidates will be shortlisted and will called Written Test. Test may hold on the month of March/April at the respective centre. For Eastern India centre will be—Kolkata, Guwahati, Chilika, Aijwal, Ranchi, Shillong and Port-Blair. Candidate should mention their willing centre during filling the Application form.
The written test will be Objective Types on following four papers—(I) English, (II) General Knowledge, (III) Science and (IV) Mathematics. Question will be from Higher Secondary level. The list of qualified candidates will be out on 29th June-2012.

After Written test there will be physical ability test which will be – Race of 1.6 Kms within 7 minutes, 20times sit-ups and10times push-ups and then Medical examination. Finally there will be Interview at I.N.S. Chilika. Up-down fare will be provided to the candidates to arrive at the Interview venue.
During Interview candidate should bring all the required documents in original.

Online Application can be submitted till 30th December-2011. After submitting the online application from the above website a computer generated Application Form with unique Roll numbers will appear. Make 2nos. print-out copies and then after signing on one copy send it by ordinary post.
Candidates who will to apply offline should prepare the Application as per given format. Application format can be downloaded from the official website of Indian Navy as mentioned above.
For convenience we encourage the candidate to apply online.

The print-out computer generated application or Application form of the candidates applying should reach at the below address along with required documents in attested copies—

  • One recent color passport size photo (pasted on the application form, the background of the image should be blue in color)
  • Attested copy of Madhyamik Certificate
  • Attested copies of Higher Secondary’s Marksheet and Certificate (of both sides)
  • Attested copy of NCC or Sports Certificate
  • Attested copy of Residential Certificate.

For candidates who are applying offline should subscribe on the top of the envelope containing application form—“AA-132 West Bengal- 68.7% (10+2)” and candidates who have applied Online should subscribe—“Online AA Application- 132Batch & 10+2 Percentage”.


Last Date and Address: For both cases, either Offline or Online, Application should reach within 6th January (13th June for far flung candidates) at the following address“The Advertiser, Post Box No.476, Gol Dak Khana, GPO, New Delhi- 110 001”.
