National Institute of Research on Jute & Allied Fibre Technology (NIRJAFT), Kolkata, requires Technical Asst./Sr. Tech. Last Dt. 2/6/2014 (17/6/2014)

National Institute of Research on Jute & Allied Fibre Technology (NIRJAFT), Kolkata, is recruiting Technical Assistant and Sr. Technician under Administrative control of ICAR. Advt.No.2/NIRJAFT/Admn/2014. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format along with enclosures (See below). Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below—

1. Technical Assistant (T-3 Laboratory Technician): 1 Nos. (UR)
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/ Agri. Engg./ Textile/ Fibre Technology/ Textile Design or Mechanical Engineering
Desirable—Degree in Meuzeology/ Experience in Museum; Proficiency in Computer and Knowledge in jute diversified product manufacture, statistical data analysis.

2. Technical Assistant (T-3 Laboratory Technician): 1 Nos. (UR)
Qualification: B.Sc in Agriculture/ Chemistry (Hons).
Desirable—B.Sc in Agriculture/ Organic/ Bio-chemistry.

3. Technical Assistant (T-3 Laboratory Technician): 1 Nos. (ST)
Qualification: B.Sc in pure Science with Physics/ Electronics.
Desirable—Knowledge in Natural Fibre processing/ Testing/ M.Sc in Physics.

4. Senior Technician (T-2 Laboratory Technician): 1 Nos. (OBC)
Qualification: Madhyamik with one year certificate course in Electronics/ Electronics Mechanic/ Instrument Mechanic/ Computer Operator & Programming Assistant.
Desirable—Knowledge in fibre processing/ Jute Processing & grading/ Physical science.

Age Limit (For all posts): Candidates shall be between 18yrs to 30yrs. Age will be counted as on last date of receipt of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 AND Grade Pay: Rs.2800/- for Technical Asst. and Rs.2400/- for Sr.Technician.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates shall prepare the Application form on plain paper as per the officially released format (See PDF file given below).
The duly filled Application form shall be enclosed with attested copies (Attestation by Gazetted Officer) of testimonials in support of Educational qualification, Age proof, Caste certificate and Etc.
Candidates willing to apply for more than one post shall submit their each application separately.

Application Fee: Candidates shall accompany the Application form with a Bank Draft of Rs.500/- drawn in favour of – ICAR NIRJAFT, to be drawn on the SBI Tollygung Branch Kolkata. Candidates must write his/her name on the back of the Draft.
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ ST/ WOMEN AND PH CANDIDATES.

Superscribe the top of the application containing envelope with – “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ______, SL.NO_______”.
