West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), A Government of West Bengal Enterprise, Kolkata, is recruiting 22 Meritorious Sportsperson in the discipline of Football and Cricket for filling up vacancies in posts of – “Office Executive” and “Technical Support Hand” against Sports Quota under WBSEDCL. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below—
1. Office Executive: 12 Nos.
— Cricket: 8 Nos. (Pace Bowler—3; Batsman—4; Spin Bowler cum Batsman—2)
— Football: 3 Nos. (Striker—2; Defender—1)
2. Technical Support Hand: 10 Nos.
— Cricket: 2 Nos. (Wicket Keeper—1; Batsman—1)
— Football: 8 Nos. (Goal Keeper—1; Striker—2; Mid Fielder—2; Defender—3)
Sports Eligibility: Candidates must have represented West Bengal or India in a National or International Competition OR represented a University in an Inter-University Tournament OR represented the State School teams in the National Sports/ Games for Schools OR meritorious sportsperson who have represented and excelled in national level competition in Discipline of Cricket or Football mentioned above.
Educational Qualification: —
OFFICE EXECUTIVE:
Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate or Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in HS level and must have passed certificate course/any other courses on Computer.
OR
3 years full time Bachelor Degree in Computer Application (BCA) or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BBA) or Bachelor Degree in Science with Honours with Statistics or Bachelor Degree in any stream with Computer Application / Computer Science as a pass subject with 50% in aggregate from a recognized University or 50% in HS with 3 years full time Degree in the Bachelor level
OR
The players who have represented and excelled in national level competition organized by All India Electricity Sports Control Board and having graduation degree from any recognized university and having ability to read and write in Bengali / Nepali may also apply for the post of Office Executive in the category of Meritorious Sportsperson.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT HAND:
Class X pass and having sound physique with ability to read and write in Bengali/Nepali & elementary English may apply.
N.B: Candidates applying for any one of the post must meets the above given Sports Eligibility. For detailed norms of qualification, please refer the officially released advertisement (link given below).
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 27 years as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC candidates of West Bengal is 5yrs and 3yrs respectively.
Salary:—
Office Executive : Gross Salary – Rs. 19,115/- plus other allowances
Technical Support Hand: Gross Salary – Rs. 12,810/- plus other allowances.
Selection of the candidates will be done by the Competent Special Selection Committee through FIELD LEVEL TRIALS AND WRITTEN TEST and/or INTERVIEW.

Application fee: Fee of Rs.250/- for the post of Office Executive and Rs.150 for the post of Technical Hand Support, in form of Demand Draft/ Banker’s Cheque drawn in favour of – “West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd.” payable at Kolkata only.

SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of Application fee.
