WEST BENGAL PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 01 POSTS OF LOWER GRADE ASSISTANT TRANSLATOR (HINDI). LAST DATE — 16/03/2016
1. Lower Grade Assistant Translator (Hindi): 01 Nos. (SC-01)
Educational Qualification:Â Honours or Post Graduate Degree in Hindi OR Honours or Post Graduate Degree in English with Hindi as a subject at Bachelor’s Degree level.
Candidates should have sufficient command of English and Hindi languages and ability of a high order to make reliable translation from Hindi to English and vice versa.
Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (Not required in the case of Nepali speaking candidates from the three Hill Sub-divisions of Darjeeling District viz. Kalimpong, Kurseong and Darjeeling Sadar).
Age Limit:Â Not more than 37 years as on as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale:Â Rs.7, 100/- Rs.37, 600/- and Grade Pay of Rs.3, 900/-
Upper Age Relaxation:Â Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Viva-voce test.
The Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment to the post of Lower Grade Assistant Translator (Hindi) in the office of the Bengali Translator under Home (Political) Department, Govt. of West Bengal in two successive stages, viz, (1) Written Examination and (2) Viva voce test.
