PSC West Bengal – Recruitment to 100 various vacancies (Lecturer/ Assistant/ Librarian/ Mistress Etc.). Last Dt. 30/07/2014

Public Service Commission (PSC), West Bengal is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the below mentioned posts on prescribed application format. The engagement to the posts will be on temporary basis but likely to be permanent. Advertisement No. 10/2014. Educational qualification requirement and brief details are outlined below —

1. LECTURER OF DISTRICT INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING UNDER THE SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL. 
Subjects and No. of vacancies: Bengali—3; English—9; Mathematics—10; Physical Science—6; Life Science—10; History—3; Geography—2; Foundation Course—7.
Medium of Teaching: Bengali.
Educational Qualification: 
— For Foundation Course: M. Ed. / M.Ed. ( Elementary ) with 55% marks or M.A. in Education with 55 % marks and Diploma / Degree in Primary / Elementary Education with 55 % marks
— For Methodology Course: A Master’s Degree of two years duration ( regular ) course, with Honours at Graduation Level, having at least 55% marks in relevant school teaching subject and Diploma /Degree in Education / Primary Education with 55% marks.
Age: 32 years.

2. ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF LIVESTOCK (MANAGEMENT) IN WEST BENGAL JR. ANIMAL HUSBANDRY SERVICE, A.R. WING UNDER THE ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 12 Nos.
Qualification: A degree or diploma in Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science or Dairying or a degree in Agriculture AND 02 years experience in the field.
Age: 32 years.

3. ASSISTANT CONTROLLER OF LEGAL METROLOGY, WEST BENGAL UNDER THE DIRECTORATE OF LEGAL METROLOGY, WEST BENGAL IN THE WEST BENGAL GENERAL SERVICE UNDER CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT,GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 4 Nos.
Qualification: Graduate in Science (with Physics as one of the subject), Technology or Engineering or a recognised Diploma in Engineering AND 03 years experience in the field.
Age: 35 years.

4. SCIENTIFIC OFFICER (FOOT PRINT SECTION) AT FORENSIC SCIENCE LABORATORY, WEST BENGAL , IN THE W.B.G.S. UNDER THE HOME DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos.
Qualification: A Second Class Master Degree in Anthropology with specialization in Physical Anthropology and 02 years experience in Foot Print Examination OR A degree in Science with Anthropology as one of the subjects and 05 yrs experience in Foot Print examination.
Age: 32 years.

5. PROBATION-CUM-AFTER CARE OFFICER UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONAL ADMINISTRATION, GOVT. OF W.B. IN WEST BENGAL GENERAL SERVICE.
Number of Vacancies: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Degree  or its equivalent and Administrative experience or social welfare works for at least two years.
Age: Between 30 and 40yrs.

6. ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT (NON-MEDICAL) FOR ESI HOSPITALS UNDER LABOUR DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 12 Nos.
Qualification: A Degree in any discipline and Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Hospital Administration/Hospital Management.
Age: 32 years.

7. ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN IN STATE CENTRAL LIBRARY, WEST BENGAL UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF MASS EDUCATION EXTENSION & LIBRARY SERVICES, GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos.
Qualification: A Master’s degree in Library Science OR A second class Master’s degree in any subject, other than Library Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science.
Candidates shall have 02 years experience in Library work in a public or in Institutional Libraries of repute.
Age: 35 years.

8. GAMES MISTRESS IN THE DOW HILL GIRLS’ SCHOOL, KURSEONG DARJEELING IN WEST BENGAL GENERAL SERVICE, GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos. (Female only)
Qualification: Degree and Diploma in Physical Education with special aptitude for and training in Physical Culture, Games and School Sports and shall have ability to teach in English Medium.
Age: 32 years.

9. DOMESTIC SCIENCE MISTRESS IN THE DOW HILL GIRLS’ SCHOOL, KURSEONG, DARJEELING IN WEST BENGAL GENERAL SERVICE, GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos. (Female only)
Qualification: Degree and diploma in Domestic or Home Science Training of a recognised Institution OR A degree in Home Science or Domestic Science OR a degree with at least two home Science subjects.
Shall have Teaching experience in the subject in secondary school, preferably in an English medium one, relaxable for otherwise well-qualified candidates and shall have ability to teach in English Medium.
Age: 35 years.

10. KINDERGARTEN MISTRESS IN THE DOW HILL GIRLS’ SCHOOL, KURSEONG, DARJEELING IN WEST BENGAL GENERAL SERVICE, GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 2 Nos. (Female only)
Qualification: A full course of training for the training of teachers for Kindergarten work, relaxable for candidates having adequate experience as kindergarten teacher in English Medium AND shall have ability to teach in English medium.
Age: 32 years.

11. JUNIOR ENGLISH MISTRESS IN THE DOW HILL GIRLS’ SCHOOL, KURSEONG, DARJEELING IN WEST BENGAL GENERAL SERVICE, GOVT. OF W.B.

Qualification: Degree in Arts and 02 years experience of teaching of children and ability to teach in English Medium.
Age: 32 years.

12. DOCUMENTATION ASSISTANT UNDER INFORMATION AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Madhyamik or equivalent and Certificate in Computer Application covering MS Office and 03 years experience in organizing any National and/or International level Film Festival.
Age: 40 years.

13. COMPUTER ASSISTANT UNDER INFORMATION AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF W.B.
Number of Vacancies: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Madhyamik or equivalent and Certificate in Computer Application with knowledge of MS Office, Internet  and minimum 3(three) years’ working experience as Assistant in organizing any National and/or International level Film Festival and 3(three) years’ working experience in the field of negotiating with Film makers, Distributors and Sales Agents for screening rights for films in respect of organizing National and International Film Festivals and as Assistant in Programming and Scheduling the Films for National and International Film Festival.
Age: 40 years.

ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK IN BENGALI IS AN ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO ALL POSTS AND SERVICES MENTIONED ABOVE. PROVIDED THAT THE SAID COMPULSORY REQUIREMENT OF KNOWLEDGE IN BENGALI IS NOT APPLICABLE FOR NEPALI SPEAKING CANDIDATES FROM THE HILL AREAS OF THE DISTRICT OF DARJEELING UNLESS MENTIONED OTHERWISE AGAINST ANY PARTICULAR POST(S).

UPPER AGE RELAXATION: The age mentioned above along with the name of the posts is the maximum age of the candidates. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Kolkata, OR by a receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head ‚0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees‛.
Candidates belonging to S.C./S.T. of West Bengal and persons with disabilities specified under Persons With Disabilities Rules, 1999 are not required to pay any fee. Such candidates shall enclose their caste/PH certificate along with the application.

S.C., S.T. and B.C. candidates of other States may apply for unreserved vacancies as general candidates.
