No. of Vacancies: 1500 Nos. (Gen-750, SC-375 OBC-180, EXSM-105, PWD-45, Sport person-30, Freedom Fighter-15)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with two years National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.
Candidates must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation or its equivalent level.
Preference will be given to those candidates who have done two years Apprenticeship in the trade of Lineman from PSPCL/PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB. If above candidates are not available, the other candidates having Two Years Apprenticeship in the trade of Lineman from any other State /BBMB etc. will be considered
Note: Candidates possessing Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering will be considered only if they have minimum qualifications i.e. National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-37 years as on 01/01/2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.6400 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay Rs.3400/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be made as per marks obtained in National Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade.
