Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to hold a Combined All India Open Examination on 25th May,2014 for recruitment to the posts of JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL/ ELECTRICAL/ MECHANICAL/ QSC) in different Departments namely – CPWD, BRO, MES and CWC. Eligible candidates willing to sit for the examination shall apply online through the official website of SSC. Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —

SSC – ALL INDIA EXAMINATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO POSTS OF JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL/ ELECT./ MECH./ QSC). LAST DATE – 28.03.2014 (04/04/2014)

SSC’s All India Open Examination. Through this examination, the recruitment will be made in the Posts of JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL) and (ELECTRICAL) in Central Public Works Department (CPWD) & Department of Posts, JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL) and JUNIOR ENGINEER(ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL) in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in Ministry of Defence, JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL) &JUNIOR ENGINEER (Quantity Surveying & Contract) in Military Engineering Service (MES), JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL & MECHANICAL) in Central Water Commission (CWC) and Farakka Barrage.

Exact numbers of vacancies will be determined in due course.

Minimum Essential Educational Qualification were as follows —

1. Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD 
Qualification: Diploma in Civil , Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

2. Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in Department of Posts 
Qualification: 03yrs Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering

3. Junior Engineer (Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical) in Border Roads Organization (BRO)
Qualification: 03yrs Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engg./ Mechanical Engg.
Desirable—2yrs working experience in the relevant field is desirable.

4. Junior Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ QS&C) in Military Engineering Service (MES)
Qualification:  Degree in relevant discipline or 03yrs Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engg./ Mechanical Engg.
Desirable—2yrs working experience in the relevant field is desirable
For discipline QS&C — 3yrs diploma in Civil engineering OR Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying Sub Divisional – II of the institute of Surveyors (India).

5. Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC and Farakka Barrage
Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

AGE LIMIT (AS ON 01/01/2014)

  1. 18-27 years for Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD and Department of Posts
  2. Not exceeding 30 years for Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) in MES
  3. Up to 32 years for Junior Engineers (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC and Farakka Barrage.
  4. 18-27 Years for Junior Engineers(Quantity Surveying and Contract) in MES
  5. Not exceeding 30 years for Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) of Ministry of Defence

Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

CANDIDATES’ SELECTION:
The selection will be through Written test of 500 marks and Interview of 100 marks. Written test will be in two parts. Part-I will be objective type (OMR) and Part-II will be conventional Type. For syllabus and details, see the below given PDF file.
Examination will be hold at various centres of SSC. For West Bengal, the examination centre will be at Kolkata.

EXAMINATION FEE: 
General and OBC candidates shall pay examination fee of Rs.100/- only. The candidates should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of Challan or through SBI net banking.
NO FEE FOR SC/ST/PH/ EX-SERVICEMAN AND ALL WOMEN CANDIDATES.

HOW TO APPLY: 
Interested and eligible candidates may submit their application only through online mode from the official website of SSC — www.ssc.nic.in (The live URL to Application form is given below). No other mode of application will be entertained.
Candidates shall first complete the Part-I Registration and then shall proceed to Part-II Registration. Before Part-II Registration, candidates will require to pay above prescribed fee through NET Banking or through bank transaction by means of Challan (offline mode). Candidates exempted from fee payment will be skipped from the fee payment option.
Candidates will also require to uploads their scan copy of signature and passport size photograph during Part-II Registration.

After final and successful submission of online Application form, candidates shall note down their registration number as well as print-out the system generated Registration Slip for future correspondence.
DO NOT SEND ANY HARD COPY OF APPLICATION/ SYSTEM GENERATED SLIP TO THE COMMISSION

IMPORTANT DATES: 
Last Date to make the Part-I  Registration: 26/03/2014 (5PM)
Last Date to complete the Part-II Registration: 28/03/2014 (5PM)

The last date to submit the Part-I Registration is 02/04/2014 (5PM) and last date to submit the Part-II Registration is 04/04/2014 (5PM) only in case of candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

  2. ami kichudin age jakhan apply korlam sei samay b.tech bole kono option chilo na but akhon jakhan amar ak frnd fill up korlo sei samay b.tech option ta ache,,but ami sei samay B.E bole je option chilo setate click kore fill up korechi jehetu takhan B.TECH option ta chilo na (but amar course er naam b.tech ) , ta akhetre ki kono problem hobe naki amake abar fill up korte hobe ?? Please aktu janan ??

  3. I have completed my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, but for choice of degree there is no option for B.Tech,but available option is B.E,others etc…can i apply ?? if i can apply,please tell me which option for me ??
