Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for posts of Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, Senior Hindi Translators and Hindi Pradhyapak. 1. JUNIOR TRANSLATOR
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level
OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level

AND Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on 01.01.2016.
Pay Scale: Rs 9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-

 

2. Junior Translator / Junior Hindi Translator (in subordinate offices who have adopted Model RRs of DoP&T for JT/JHT)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level
OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level and Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years‟ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on 01.01.2016.

3. SENIOR HINDI TRANSLATOR.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level
OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level

AND Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or three years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on 01.01.2016.
Pay Scale: Rs 9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-

 

4. JUNIOR TRANSLATOR / JUNIOR HINDI TRANSLATOR (in subordinate offices who have not yet adopted Model RRs of DoP&T for JT/JHT): Nos.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level
OR Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects (which includes the term compulsory and elective)
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on 01.01.2016.
Pay Scale: Rs 9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-

 

5. HINDI PRADHYAPAK
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subject at degree level either as compulsory or optional plus Master’s degree in any subject plus Bachelor of Education
OR Bachelor’s degree in any subject plus Master’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional plus Bachelor of Education
Desirable: Two years experience of teaching Hindi at Senior Secondary level  under Central or State Governments or recognized educational Institution.
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on 01.01.2016.
Pay Scale: Rs 9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs. 4800/-

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination. Written Examination will be held on 19-06-2016 at Allahabad, Kolkata, Port Blair, Gangtok, Bhubaneshwar, Ranchi, Bengaluru, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Panaji, Ahmedabad, Raipur, Bhopal, Chandighar, Jammu.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Staff Selection Commission. See released advertisement for more details.

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC, ST, EX-SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen.
