Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the posts of Stenographer (Grade C & D). Selection process will be carried by SSC through All India Open Competitive Examination. STENOGRAPHER (Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’)

Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary (Class 12th) pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
AND knowledge of Stenography in English or Hindi.

 

Age Limit: 18 years to 27 years as on 01/08/2016 (Candidates born not before 02-08-1989 and not later than 01-08-1998).

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: The selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Skill Test in stenography.  Written Examination will be on – (i) General Intelligence & Reasoning, (ii) General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension

Candidates who obtain the qualifying marks in the Written Examination as may be prescribed by the Commission will only be called for the Skill Test of Stenography.

In Stenography test the candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade „C‟ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade „D‟. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer only within 50 minutes (English)/65 minutest (Hindi) in case of Stenographer-D AND within 40 minutes (Eng)/55 minutes (Hin) in case of Stenographer-C

Staff Selection Commission will hold an All India Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade „C‟ (Group „B‟ Non-Gazetted ) and Stenographer Grade „D‟(Group „C‟ Non-Gazetted) on Sunday, the 31st July 2016. The Examination will hold at various centres of SSC across the country.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Staff Selection Commission (SSC). See released advertisement for more details.

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF WOMEN CANDIDATES AND CANDIDATES BELONGING TO SCHEDULED CASTE, SCHEDULED TRIBE, PERSONS WITH DISABILITY AND EX-SERVICEMEN CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
