UPSC is inviting application for the Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination-2014. Candidates qualifying this examination will be place in Junior Time scale in Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service for which the total vacancies are 38 Nos. Examination Notice No.04/2014- IES/ISS. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only trough the commission’s website (see below). INDIAN ECONOMIC SERVICE/ INDIAN STATISTICAL SERVICE EXAMINATION-2014
UPSC will conduct the above examination from 24th May, 2014 for recruitment to Junior Time Scale of the Services, i.e. IES/ISS
Proposed vacancies to be filled on the basis of the above examination will be as follows —
(i) Indian Economic Service: 15 Nos.
(ii) Indian Statistical Service: 23 Nos.
The examination will be held at the following centres — Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Delhi, Dispur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Shillong, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram.
Educational Qualification: —
For Indian Economic Service: Graduate degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics.
For Indian Statistical Service: Bachelor’s degree with Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master’s degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics
Age Limit: Minimum 21yrs and maximum 29 years as on on 01-08-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Examination Fee: General and OBC candidates shall pay Rs.200/- as fee through any branch of State Bank of India by cash by means of system generated Pay-in-Slip or fee can be paid through NET Banking/ Debit/ Credit card, during submission of online application.
Pay-in-Slip will be generated automatically upon submission of Part-II Application (Refer the Advt. for details)
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ ST/ PH AND ALL FEMALE CANDIDATES.

After final submission of online Application form, print-out the system generated Registration Slip for future correspondence. There is no need to send any hard copy of application or any other documents to the commission.
