Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting Online Application form for the the Combined Competitive Examination for recruitment to Grade IV posts in Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service. Total vacancies— 66 Nos. Examination Notification No.11/2013 – IES/ ISS. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —
INDIAN ECONOMIC SERIVICE (IES)
Number of Vacancies: 30 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics .
INDIAN STATISTICAL SERIVICE (ISS)
Number of Vacancies: 36 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics.
Age Limit: Minimum 21yrs and maximum 30yrs as on 01-08-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Candidates must be physically fit and must meets the physical standards for admission to Indian Economic Service/ Indian Service Examination-2013 as per regulation laid by the authority. See the Advt. link below for details.
Candidates’ Selection:
Selection of the candidates will be through Combine Competitive Examination. Qualified candidates from Written examination will be called for Interview/ Personality Test.
The examination may commence from 9th November, 2013.
The examination will be held at following centres — Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Delhi, Dispur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Shillong, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram.
Examination Fee: Candidates willing to apply for the examination must pay Examination Fee of Rs.200/- through cash deposit in any branches of State Bank of India or through Online banking system during the filling of the online Application form.
SC/ST/PH and Female candidates are exempted from Examination Fee.

During online Application form, candidates will require to upload their scan copy of passport size photograph and signature. Candidates should mention their valid email id since all future correspondence will be made through emails.
After successful submission of Online Application form, candidates must print-out the system generated Registration Slip and must keep it safely for future use. There is no need to send any hard copy or print-outs of application to the commission.
Last Date of Application: The Online Application form (Part-I and Part-II) can be submitted on or before 16th September, 2013 (till Midnight).
