NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY AND NAVAL ACADEMY EXAMINATION (I) 2017
No. of Vacancies: 390 Nos.
Number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination:
1. National Defence Academy: 335 posts (208 for Army, 55 for Navy and 72 for Air Force)
2. Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 55 posts
Educational Qualification:
(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics.
Candidates Height and Weight – 57 cms (162.5 cm for Air Force) and Weight as per Medical norms.
For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North-Eastern regions of India, Garhwal and Kumaon, the minimum acceptable heights will be 5 cms. less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms.

Age Limit: Not born before- 02/07/1998 and not after 01/07/2001
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Psychological Aptitude Test, Intelligence Test, Personality Test and Interview.
Examination will be held at Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur and Vishakhapatnam.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan.
