Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, VIZAG Steel, as per Advt. No. 04/2012 is recruiting 60 Nos. male candidates for the post of “Trainee Khalasi”. SSC pass candidates with ability to perform tough task such as lifting heavy weight, manual and physical hard work, may apply for the post in prescribed format. Details below—
1. Trainee Khalasi
Vacancies: 60 Nos. (Gen-29; OBC-16; SC-11; ST-4). Out of them 2 posts is reserved for PWD candidates. Reservation for Meritorious Sportsperson and Ex-Serviceman is as per rule.
Qualification: SSC Pass from recognised board.
Physical Standard: —
Height: 150 cms
Weight: 45 kgs
Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 75 cms/ 80 cms.
Candidates should have good eye sight and no color blindness.
Age: between 18yrs to 25yrs as on 1/5/2012. Relaxation—OBC-3yrs; SC/ST -5yrs, Meritorious Sportsperson- 5yrs; PWD- 10yrs and Ex-Serviceman and others—as per norms.
Training and Pay Scale: Successful candidates will be on training for 2 years and then on completion of training candidates will be appointed on regular post of Khalasi in S-1 grade.
During training period monthly stipend of Rs.6600 will be given per month on the first year and Rs.7700 in second year. After successful completion of training, the pay scale will be Rs.8630—Rs.12080.
Selection Steps: Candidates will be selected through General Aptitude Test (Including knowledge in English and Telugu), Physical Test and Interview.
Written Test is likely to hold on dated 19th August 2012. The list of short-listed candidates for written examination will be available on the official website by 6th August.
Candidates who do not receive call letters by 13th August can download the same from the website.
