Public Service Commission, West Bengal is going to hold “West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) Etc. Examination, 2015” on March, 2015. WEST BENGAL PSC INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR WEST BENGAL CIVIL SERVICE (EXE) EXAMINATION, 2015 [W.B.C.S. (EXE)]. LAST DATE – 02/03/2015

 

W.B.C.S. (EXECUTIVE) ETC. EXAMINATION, 2015

Educational Qualification: A Degree (in any discipline) from a recognized University.

Note: Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required in case of Nepali speaking candidates of the three Hill Sub-divisions of Darjeeling District, viz., Darjeeling Sadar, Kalimpong and Kurseong).

 

The recruitment to different posts of Group A, B, C & D will be in following Services: —

GROUP – A:

(i) West Bengal Civil Service (Executive

(iii) West Bengal Agricultural Income tax Service
(iv) West Bengal Excise Service

GROUP – C:

(i) Joint Block Development Officer
(ii) Deputy Assistant Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Business Practices
(iii) West Bengal Junior Social Welfare Service
(iv) West Bengal Subordinate Land Revenue Service, Grade-I
(v) Assistant Commercial Tax Officer
(vi) Assistant Canal Revenue Officer (Irrigation)
(vii) Chief Controller of Correctional Services

 

GROUP – D:

(i) Inspector of Co-operative Societies
(ii) Panchayat Development Officer under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department
(iii) Rehabilitation Officer under the Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation Department

 

Age Limit:

(i) For Group “A”, “C” and “D” Services — 21 years to 32 years as on 01/01/2015.

(ii) For Group “B” Services — 20yrs to 32yrs as on 01/01/2015.

The upper age limit is relaxable for S.C., S.T. & B.C. candidates of West Bengal, by 5 years for S.C. & S.T. candidates and by 3 years for B.C. candidates and for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), the upper age limit is relaxable upto 45 years.

ST/ST/BC/OBC candidates of other States shall be treated as general candidates.

 

Physical Standards (Only for Group-B Services):
Candidates applying for Group-B Services, i.e. West Bengal Police Service, shall meets the following standards –
(i) Male candidates: Height—1.65mtrs.
(ii) Female candidates: Height—1.50 mtrs.

Relaxation in height will be given to candidates belonging to races such as Gorkhas, Garwalis, Assamese, Tribals etc.

 

Public Service Commission, West Bengal will hold the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) Etc. Examination, 2015 on March,2015 and on the results of which recruitment to the West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.) and certain other services and posts will be made.

The W.B.C.S. (Exe.) etc. Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz., (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) and (ii) Main Examination (Both Objective and Conventional Type-Written) and Personality Test.

The Preliminary Examination will be held at various centres in Kolkata and in certain other districts in West Bengal, viz. – Kolkata (North),Kolkata (South), Baruipur, Diamond Harbour, Barrackpore, Barasat, Howrah, Burdwan, Asansol, Medinipur, Tamluk, Bankura, Berhampore, Malda, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Siliguri and Darjeeling.

Examination Fee: Rs.210/- is to be paid as Examination fee. Fee can be paid through Bank by means of system generated fee challan (offline mode) or can be paid online by using debit/credit card or net banking.

NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ ST AND PWD CANDIDATES. SC/ST candidates of other States may apply as general candidates and shall pay the examination fee in full.

Candidates have to first go for “One Time Registration” (link available on top of the left panel in home page of the website (www.pscwbonline.gov.in) and fill up all the required data and uploading scanned photo and signature to get User ID and Password.
However, those candidates who have earlier registered themselves with PSC, West Bengal need not to do registration again. They can use their previous User Id and Password for login into their respective Dashboards.

Candidate may apply for one or more of the four groups of services, viz., A, B, C, and D as per their choice of preference.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration Number along with application details will appear on the computer screen.
