EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Master Degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PH) and qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET), or an accredited test (State Level Eligibility Test – SLET / SET)

For following Subjects – Arts, Humanities, Science, Social Science, Commerce, Education, Languages: Master Degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade (50% in case of SC/ST/PH) in the relevant subject.

• NET/SET/SLET is not required for those candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission
• NET/SET/ SLET is not required for such Master’s Degree Programme in disciplines for which National Eligibility Test (NET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) / State Eligibility Test (SET) accredited test is not conducted.
• A good academic record is required, i.e. candidates shall have obtained minimum 55% marks (5% relaxation in case of SC/ST/PH) in all examination from Madhyamik onwards.

NOTE: CANDIDATES MUST HAVE ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK IN BENGALI (NOT APPLICABLE FOR NEPALI SPEAKING CANDIDATES FROM THE HILL EARS OF THE DISTRICT OF DARJEELING)

 

AGE LIMIT:
Not more than 37yrs as on 01-01-2015. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories is as per Govt. norms.

 

PAY SCALE:
Rs.15600 — 39100 and Grade Pay: Rs.6000/-

EXAMINATION FEE:
Rs.210/- is to be paid through online mode using Debit/Credit card or net banking or can be paid through Bank Counter (offline mode). Applicant shall pay bank charges/ transaction charges additionally.

NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ST CANDIDATES OF WEST BENGAL AND PWD CANDIDATES. Note — SC/ST candidates of other States shall pay examination fee in full and may apply as unreserved/general category only.
