WEST BENGAL SSC INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 01 POSTS OF LIBRARIAN. LAST DATE — 06/11/2015
1. Librarian: 01 Nos. (UR) (Post Code – 370)
Educational Qualification: A Second class Master’s Degree in Library Science or equivalent OR A Second Class Master’s Degree in any subject other than Library Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or equivalent
Candidates should have 03 years experience in Library Work in a Public or Institutional Library of repute as well as knowledge of Computer and audio visual method.
Age Limit: 01/01/2015 as on Minimum 18 years and not more than 32 years. Upper Age Relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC
Pay Scale: Rs.7100/- – Rs.37600/- and Grade Pay: Rs.3900/-
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Online test followed by Interview. Tentative date of online test is 16/12/2015.

Note: Candidates already applied for the post of Librarian under School Education Department vide the earlier Commission’s Advertisement No. 03 / WBSSC / Exam, dated, 24.07.2015 may apply for the post advertised in this advertisement, without paying any Examination Fee and / or Processing Fee. See officially released advertisement for more details. In such cases, He / she have to indicate preference between the following two posts:-
(i) Librarian (for the School Education Department) and (ii) Librarian (for the Governor’s Household Secretariat)
Examination Fee: Candidates must pay 220/- (including processing fee) for general and obc candidates. SC/ST candidates should pay Rs.20/- (processing fee) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. Upon successful submission of online application form & fee payment, the system generated Registration Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future references. Do not send any print-out/ documents to the commission at this stage.
Candidates facing inconvenience or not having internet access, may also submit their online Application form with the help of authorised “Tathya Mitra” kendras in their locality. Tathya Mitra kendras may charge Rs.20/- for such services.
