West Bengal State Council of Science and Technology (WBSCST), Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing Cell, is recruiting eligible candidates for 12 posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF). - JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)
No. of Vacancies: 08 Nos.
Project wise vacancies:
i) Generation of Cadastral Database: 06 posts (General – 03, SC – 01, ST – 01, OBC – 01)
ii) Map Sales: 02 posts (General – 1, SC – 1)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Geology / Applied Geology / Geography / Environmental Science / Remote Sensing & GIS and equivalent with 55% for General Category (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Desirable: PG Diploma in Geoinformatics or equivalent. Experience in using RS & GIS. NET/GATE/SLET qualified.
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on 01.03.2018.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 18,700/- per month.
- SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 07 Nos.
Project wise vacancies:
i) Generation of Cadastral Database: 06 posts (General – 03, SC – 01, ST – 01, OBC – 01)
ii) Map Sales: 01 posts (General – 1)
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Geology / Applied Geology / Geography / Environmental Science / Remote Sensing & GIS and equivalent with 55% for General Category (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Experience: Two years experience in using RS & GIS.
Desirable: PG Diploma in Geoinformatics or equivalent. NET/GATE/SLET qualified.
Age Limit: Maximum-35 years as on 01.03.2018.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 21,000/- per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Interview.
