The West Bengal School Service Commission (West Bengal SSC) is going to conduct 12th Regional Level Selection Test (HM) for recruitment of “Head Master” and 2nd Regional Level Selection Test (NT) for the recruitment of Non-Teaching Post of “Librarian”. Eligibility Criteria and Norms:—
Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree from a UGC recognized University with at least 45% marks both at the Secondary Level and Higher Secondary Level, 40% marks in the Honours subject at the Honours Level or 45% marks at the Pass Level for a candidate without having Honours Degree and 40% marks at the Post-Graduate Level, with degree in Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Education/ Post-Graduate Basic Training from any recognized University or any training recognized by the State Government as equivalent to Bachelor of Teaching / Bachelor of Education / Post- Graduate Basic Training from a Teachers’ Training Institution duly recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in the relevant academic session.
Provided that the above criteria of marks shall not apply to a Headmaster/ Headmistress in approved service in Jr. High/High/Higher Secondary School.
Experience Required: Ten years’ continuous Teaching Experience on the date of advertisement in approved service in a Higher Secondary School/ High School/ Jr. High School recognized by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education/ West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent.
Age Limit: within 55yrs as on 1st January 2012.

One copy of it, along with Self-Attested documents and testimonials, send it the by Registered Post to the Address of the particular Regions of which candidates wants to apply.
Selection will be through Written Examination (Part-I and Part-II). Qualified candidates will be called for Personality Test.

Qualification Required: Bachelor Degree in any discipline through Regular or Distance mode with Degree in Library Science either through Regular or Distance mode. Any citizen of India may apply.
Candidates must have studied Bengali, Hindi, English, Nepali, Oriya, Santhali, Telegu or Urdu as First or Second language at their Secondary or Higher Secondary or Higher Level of Education.
Age limit: between 20yrs to 40yrs as on 1/1/2012. Age relaxation for OBC—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs; PH—10yrs and any others—as per norms.
Selection will be through Written Exam and Personality Test. The Admit card for the post of Librarian will be issued by the Central Commission. Syllabus details is available on the official site (mentioned below).
Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay Application Fee of Rs.250 (for General and OBC) and Rs.80 (for SC/ST/PH) in form of Demand Draft payable at Kolkata.
How to Apply: Candidates have to apply Online within prescribed date. After final submission of application form, candidates should print-out the system generated application form.
The generated application form along with relevant self-attested document attached has to be send by post at the address of Regional Office of which candidates wish to apply.
Last Date to Apply (for Head Master and Librarian): Online Application is to be made on or within 31st July 2012 (5 PM). Last Date Extended to 20th August 2012. Print-out system generated application along with relevant documents should reach by post within or on 20th August 2012 at the respective Regional Offices’ address.
