BTSC FSO Reservation Rules 2026
Reservation benefits are available only to candidates who are permanent residents (domicile) of Bihar. Candidates from outside Bihar will be treated as unreserved. The 35% horizontal reservation for women and the horizontal reservation for benchmark disabled candidates are available only to Bihar domicile candidates. Grandchildren of freedom fighters of Bihar get 2% horizontal reservation, subject to a certificate from the District Magistrate of their home district in the prescribed format. Transgender candidates will get the reservation benefits of Backward Classes. BC and EBC candidates must submit a non-creamy layer certificate, and EWS candidates must submit an income and asset certificate valid for one year from the date of issue. Candidates with 40% or more benchmark disability can avail a scribe by selecting “Yes” in the online form. Reservation must be claimed in the online application, and the category cannot be changed after registration.
