Kerala PSC Forest Boat Driver Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must fulfil the prescribed age, educational qualification, physical standards and other conditions as on the specified eligibility date.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 25 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply.
Age Relaxation:
- Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for age relaxations as per the conditions mentioned in Para 2(i) of Part II General Conditions.
- The maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.
Educational Qualification
(a) Academic: SSLC or its equivalent examination recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala.
(b) Motor Boat Driving License: All candidates must have a valid motor boat driving license issued by a competent authority to drive a motor boat and must have experience of not less than three years as a Boat Driver.
Note: The motor boat driving license must remain valid through all stages of the selection process (as on the last date for receipt of application, OMR Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Swimming Test and Practical Test etc.).
(c) Engine Mechanism Knowledge: All candidates must have basic knowledge in motor boat engine mechanism and the ability to carry out minor repairs. Proficiency will be ascertained by a practical test conducted by KPSC.
(d) Swimming Ability: All candidates must be able to swim. Ability to swim shall be ascertained by a swimming test conducted by PSC.
Swimming Test Criteria:
- 50m swimming trial to be completed within two minutes; and
- Two minutes floating ability at the deeper sides of the swimming pool.
Candidate must qualify both the events to be considered as qualified in the swimming test.
Physical Standards
