NIT Raipur Non-Teaching Selection Process 2026
Screening Test
- Objective type test consisting of 100 questions.
- Total marks: 100 (each question carries 1 mark).
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Unanswered questions will not attract negative marks.
- Duration: 2 hours.
- Question Paper will have two parts:

Skill Test (Qualifying in nature only)
For Superintendent and Senior Assistant posts, a Skill Test will be conducted which is qualifying in nature only. The Merit List will be prepared solely on the basis of the total marks obtained in the Stage-1 Screening Test.
Skill Test for Superintendent: Word Processing & Spreadsheet Proficiency Test (20 minutes duration, 40 marks). Cutoff: UR – 14 marks (35%), Reserved – 12 marks (30%).
Skill Test for Senior Assistant: Typing Test (10 minutes) + Word Processing & Spreadsheet Proficiency Test (20 minutes). Cutoff: UR – more than 7% errors disqualify; Reserved – more than 10% errors disqualify.
Tie Breaking Rule
In the event of a tie in total marks, the inter-se merit shall be determined in the following order:
- Higher marks in Part-B of Stage-1 Screening Test.
- Candidate having higher age will get preference in merit.
