The notification invites applications for three posts — Server Administrator (Grade D), Assistant (Grade B) and Programming Assistant (Grade B). Successful candidates will be appointed against the existing vacancies, and a wait list will also be maintained to fill up need-based requirements, which will remain valid for a period of six months. IBPS Educational Qualification & Experience
1. Server Administrator (Grade D)
- B.E/B.Tech (Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in the related field.
- Essential skillset: Hands-on experience on Linux Server Administration (RHEL or similar) AND at least elementary experience on Network Management (L3 Switch). Certification from a recognised body on any of the above items shall be given weightage.
- Additional preferred skillset (not mandatory, added advantage): Server Virtualisation (HCI Nutanix/VMWare), Connectivity (MPLS, Leased Lines – ILL/Point to Point etc.), Firewall Management, Web Access Firewall (WAF), End Point Security, Cybersecurity, ATP, Active Directory, MS Outlook, MS Teams, elementary knowledge of DBMS (MS SQL or MYSQL), SAN administration.
2. Assistant (Grade ‘B’)
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks, preferably in Science / Commerce / Statistics / Mathematics / Economics / Computer Applications / IT / Data Analytics / Business Administration / Management.
- Demonstrable proficiency in computer applications with advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, including advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, IF, Nested formulas), Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts, Data Validation and Data Cleaning, Conditional Formatting, and basic Excel automation (Power Query/Macros preferred).
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification work experience in roles involving data validation/reconciliation/verification, handling large datasets and MIS reporting, administrative/clerical roles with structured record management, and data analysis using MS Excel.
- Preferred: Experience in Banking/Financial Institutions/Examination bodies/Government organizations/large Corporate MIS environments.
- Desirable: Certification in Advanced MS Excel/Data Analytics/MIS Reporting; experience in examination processing, recruitment data handling or compliance reporting; exposure to database tools (Access/SQL) or reporting tools (Power BI/Tableau); experience working with workflow systems.
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on higher qualification, relevant experience and demonstrated Excel proficiency.
3. Programming Assistant (Grade ‘B’)
- Full time BScIT/BCA/BSc-Computer Science or equivalent OR Engineering Degree in Computer Science/IT.
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification work experience in handling various applications in UNIX/Linux environment; file handling, data entry, data transfer etc.; basic knowledge of computer programming in any language; good knowledge of MS-Excel.
- Added advantage skillset: Certificate course in Computer Programming from a recognised Institute; experience in FORTRAN/Python programming language.

- Integrity should not have been doubtful during his/her service/career.
- No punishment/penalty should have been inflicted during his/her service/career.
- Cases of CBI or other law enforcement agencies should not be pending against him/her.
- Degrees obtained through correspondence/distance education/open university system are not acceptable.
IBPS Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Candidates who successfully apply for IBPS Recruitment 2026 will have to clear the following stages:
- Scrutiny of applications based on the minimum eligibility criteria published in the advertisement. Preference will be given to candidates staying in Mumbai.
- Online Examination (conducted online only at IBPS, Mumbai).
- Personal Interview — successful candidates in the online examination will be required to appear for the Personal Interview immediately on the same day (or next day, depending on the response received).
- Document Verification — originals and one set of self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents.
Efforts will be made to complete the entire selection process on the same day; however, it may continue until the end of the day or extend to the next day. Candidates will appear at their own risk and expenses, and IBPS will not reimburse any travel/boarding cost.

Penalty for wrong answers: For each wrong answer, one fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty. If a question is left blank, there will be no penalty.
Cut-off score: Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of the online examination and also secure sufficiently high scores to be shortlisted for further process of selection including interview.

The CTC includes benefits such as PF Employer’s Contribution, Medical Benefits, Medi-Claim, Newspaper bill Reimbursement, Canteen Subsidy, Performance Linked Incentive, Gratuity, Superannuation etc. Other benefits such as LTC/HTC, Children Education Subsidy, Interest Subsidy on Housing Loan, Group Personal Accident Insurance, House Furnishing Loan Scheme, Conveyance and Computer Loan Scheme, and Incentives for Pursuing Higher Studies shall be as per the Institute’s Rules. No housing/accommodation facility will be provided by IBPS.
Service Agreement Bond: Selected candidates must execute a Service Bond of Rs. 1 lakh and serve a minimum period of 2 years from the date of joining, failing which they shall pay Rs. 1 lakh to IBPS. The bond period may get extended by the number of Loss of Pay (LOP) days.
How to Apply for IBPS Recruitment 2026
Candidates can apply ONLINE only from 29.10.2026 to 12.11.2026; no other mode of application will be accepted. The steps are:
- Go to the official IBPS website www.ibps.in and click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE” to open the Online Application Form.
- Click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” and enter your basic information. A provisional registration number and password will be generated and displayed on the screen; note them down. An Email & SMS indicating the same will also be sent. You can reopen the saved data using the provisional registration number and password and edit the particulars if needed.
- Upload the following as per the specifications in Annexure II:
- Photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm; 200 x 230 pixels preferred; 20–50 KB)
- Signature (on white paper with black ink; 140 x 60 pixels preferred; 10–20 KB; NOT in capital letters)
- Left Thumb Impression (240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI; 20–50 KB)
- A hand written declaration in English (800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI; 50–100 KB; NOT in capital letters)
- Brief resume (PDF)
- SSC/SSLC/10th Standard or Equivalent Certificate
- Documents in support of identity and eligibility pertaining to age, educational qualifications, experience etc. (PDF, A4 page size, not exceeding 500 KB)
- Candidates will also be required to capture and upload their photograph through webcam or mobile phone during registration.
- Carefully fill in the online application; use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify details. No change is permitted after clicking on the COMPLETE REGISTRATION button.
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 250/- through the ONLINE mode. After successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
- Take a printout of the e-receipt and the online application form and retain them along with the Registration Number and Password for future reference. Do not send the printout to IBPS.
Note: The mobile number and email ID registered in the application form should be active and maintained till the conclusion of the recruitment process. An application incomplete in any respect (without proper photograph, signature, left thumb impression, hand written declaration, SSC/SSLC/10th certificate and other certificates, or with unsuccessful fee payment) will not be considered valid.
IBPS Recruitment 2026: Important Points
- These positions are permanently based in Mumbai; no housing/accommodation assistance is provided.
- The posting of the selected candidate will be in Mumbai only, and he/she will have to make his/her own arrangement of accommodation in Mumbai.
- The selected candidates will be on a probation period of one year from the date of joining.
- Medical fitness certificate from a civil surgeon/Doctor on empanelment with LIC of India/PSBs and Police Verification is to be submitted by the selected candidates at the time of joining mandatorily.
- These positions require full 24×7 commitment to the Institute.
- Only one application should be submitted by the candidate for one post. In case of multiple applications for the same post, only the latest valid (complete) application will be accepted and the fee paid for the multiple registrations will stand forfeited.
