AAI NR Apprentice Notification 2026 has been released, informing candidates about the engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, at various Northern Region Airports for the year 2026-27. - Register on the relevant portal — www.nats.education.gov.in for Graduate/Diploma Apprentices, or www.apprenticeshipindia.org for ITI Trade Apprentices — prior to applying.

- On successful application, the portal will display a confirmation message that the application has been submitted.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate/Diploma Apprentices: Full-time (Regular) Four-year Degree or Three-year (Regular) Diploma in Engineering in the relevant stream, recognized by AICTE, GOI.
- ITI Trade Apprentices: ITI/NCVT certificate in the relevant trade from an institution recognized by AICTE, GOI.
- Candidates must have passed their degree/diploma in 2024 or after 2024.
Other Conditions
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship, terminated it midway, or are currently pursuing apprenticeship elsewhere (or in AAI) at the same qualification level are not eligible.
- Candidates with apprenticeship training/job experience of 1 year or more after attaining the essential qualification are not eligible.
AAI NR Apprentice Selection Process 2026
AAI NR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 selection process includes the following stages:
- Provisional Selection: Based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In case of equal percentage, date of birth (and thereafter date of passing) determines seniority. CGPA is converted to percentage as per the norms of the concerned Board/University.
- Document Verification: Eligible candidates are called for document verification at the establishment office through registered email IDs only.
- Interview/Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for interview and verification of certificates through their registered email IDs.
- Medical Fitness & Final Selection: Final selection is based on interview/document verification and submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate (from a Government Medical Officer or Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking) at the time of joining.
- Selected candidates will be posted preferably at locations in the Northern Region based on their registration location in the portal, and an apprentice engagement letter will be issued after document verification and medical fitness clearance.

The selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, shared between AAI and the Government through DBT.
