North Central Railway is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 446 posts of Act Apprentices under Apprentice Act 1961 for the year 2018-19. The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training for a period of One year in Jhansi Division of North Central Railway in different trades mentioned below. The place of training will be Diesel Shed Jhansi, A.C. Loco Shed Jhansi & Carriage Wagon Department Jhansi. NORTH CENTRAL RAILWAY IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 446 POSTS OF ACT APPRENTICES UNDER APPRENTICE ACT 1961 FOR THE YEAR 2018-19. LAST DATE — 17.12.2018
1. ACT APPRENTICES
No. of Vacancies: 446 Nos. (UR-223, OBC-120, SC-69, ST-34. Out of the total posts, 13 posts are reserved for PWD candidates)
Trade wise vacancies:
i) Fitter: 220 posts
ii) Welder (Gas & Elect): 11 posts
iii) Mechanic (DSL): 72 posts
iv) Machinist: 11 posts
v) Painter (General): 11 posts
vi) Carpenter: 11 posts
vii) Electrician: 99 posts
viii) Lohar/ Black Smith: 11 posts
Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks and possess essential ITI passed certificate in related trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (NCVT/ SCVT).
Age Limit: Must have completed 15 years and should not have completed 24 years as on 17/12/2018.
The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training for a period of One year in Jhansi Division of North Central Railway. The place of training will be Diesel Shed Jhansi, A.C. Loco Shed Jhansi & Carriage Wagon Department Jhansi.
The candidates who have already completed their training under Apprentice Act, 1961 from any institute/ establishment are not eligible to apply.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be on the basis of marks obtained in Academic Qualification.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 100/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Indian Postal Order (IPO) drawn in favour of Senior DFM Jhansi, payable at Jhansi.
NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST/PWD/WOMEN CANDIDATES.

Before applying for the post of Act Apprentices, candidates should first register themselves as Apprentices in the Govt. web portal- www.apprenticeship.gov.in
Candidates must also enclose 02 (size 11 x 5) Self-Addressed envelope with the Application Form, in which one envelope must be affixed with postage stamp of Rs. 27/- (SC/ST candidates are exempted from pasting of stamps).
The envelope containing the print-out/enclosures should be superscribed on top with — “APPLICATION FOR ACT APPRENTICE – JHANSI DIVISION 2018-19”
Last Date and Address: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures should reach at the following address — Office of the Divisional Railway Manager, Personnel Dept. (R&D Section), North Central Railway, Jhansi, U.P.- 284003, on or before 17.12.2018.
Applications should be sent by Ordinary Post/ Registered Post only.
