AGRICULTURAL MARKETING OFFICER (TRAINING & CANNING)
No. of Vacancies: 09 Nos. (UR-04, SC-01, ST-01, OBC-02, PWD-01)
Educational Qualification:
i) A degree in Food Technology/ Food Technology and Biochemical Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognised University/ Institute OR B.Sc. degree from a recognised University/ Institute.
ii) Training in Fruit Preservation/ Fruit Processing at Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore/ Bangalore or any other Government or Government Organised Institution or 05 years’ experience in a Fruit Preservation or Processing Factory of repute or Training Centre under Government.
iii) Knowledge of Bengali or Nepali – spoken and written.
Desirable: Teaching experience in a food Processing Institution.
Age Limit: Maximum 36 years as on 01.01.2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9,000/- – Rs. 40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,700/-.

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and upto the age of 45 years for PWD category. Reserved Category candidates from the states other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview. In case of large number of candidates, the Commission may shortlist the candidates for Interview on the basis of either higher qualifications in the relevant subjects/ higher standard of marks/ grade obtained in the essential qualifications or on the basis of a Screening Test/ Written Test.
