Andaman and Nicobar Group C Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Applicant must be an Indian National.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th Standard) examination. Post-wise specific qualifications are detailed in Annexure-I of the vacancy notice.
Age Limit (as on the closing date of receipt of online application):

Ex-Servicemen (ESM) are entitled to deduct the period of actual military service from their actual age, and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit by more than three years, they shall be deemed to satisfy the age condition.
Central Government Civilian Employees with not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service are eligible for Group C posts up to 40 years of age (45 years for ST).

Andaman and Nicobar Group C 2026 – Exam Pattern
The selection will be done through a Tablet Based Test (TBT) — Tier I — followed by a Tier II Physical/Skill/Trade Test wherever applicable.

For Visually Handicapped/Cerebral Palsy candidates, additional time of 40 minutes (total 160 minutes) will be provided. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Questions for subjects at Sl. No. (i), (ii), and (iv) will be set in both English and Hindi.
Tier II – Physical Standard / Skill / Trade Test: Wherever prescribed as an essential qualification for the post, this will be conducted by the concerned department for candidates who qualify the TBT. The Tier II test is qualifying in nature only and will not contribute to the merit list.
Andaman and Nicobar Group C 2026 – Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit in the TBT Examination. Final selection will be based on TBT performance, subject to qualifying in Physical Standard Examination/Skill/Trade Test (Tier II) wherever applicable. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for document/certificate verification.
In case of a tie in marks, the candidate older in age will get preference. If the date of birth is also the same, preference will be given alphabetically by first name.
