FOREST RANGERS
No. of Vacancies: 50 Nos. (UR-39, OBC/MOBC-12, SC-05, STP-06, STH-03)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering of any recognized University with at least in one of the following subjects:-
i. Agriculture
ii. Botany
iii. Chemistry
iv. Computer Applications/ Computer Science
v. Engineering (Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical)
vi. Environmental Science
vii. Forestry
viii. Geology
ix. Horticulture
x. Mathematics
xi. Physics
xii. Statistics
xiii. Veterinary Science
xiv. Zoology
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 43 years as on 01.01.2018
Pay Scale: Rs 22000/- to 87000/- and Grade Pay Rs.10300/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 163 (152 for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 84; Chest (expanded) — by 05 cms
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 150 (145 for ST candidates); Chest — 79cms; Chest (expanded) — by 05 cms
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Interview, Walking Test and Medical Examination. The selected candidates will be on probation for a period of 18 (eighteen) months.
