The Assam SLET Commission has also included the Official Assam SLET Syllabus 2025 in it’s Official Notification. The Assam State Level Eligibility Test 2025 has already been organized on the scheduled date of 23 March, 2025 by the Assam SLET Commission. Aspirants who are willing to appear for the upcoming Assam SLET Exam are requested to download the Official SLET Syllabus and focus on each and every topics of the syllabus to get an overall idea of it.

Assam SLET Syllabus & Selection Process 2025
The Assam SLET Commission organizes Assam State Level Eligibility Test every year in order to recruit Assistant Professors in Colleges and Universities throughout the State. There are two Papers in the Assam SLET Exam i.e. Paper I and Paper II. The First Paper includes topics about General Topics i.e. Teaching Aptitude, Communication Skills, Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, People and Environment, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and more.
The Paper II consists of Subject-Specific Topics of 30 Specialized Subjects included in it. Paper I Question Paper consists of 100 Marks in total which would be concluded within 1 Hour. The Paper II carries 200 Marks and the total duration of exam for the paper is 2 hours. Fortunately, there is no negative marking in the exam.
There will be Objective Type Questions in both the paper. Candidates have to appear for both the Papers and achieve at least 40% marks in aggregate for UR to clear the exam.

Assam SLET Exam Pattern Basic Overview
The Assam SLET exam is conducted every year to select suitable candidates for the post of Assistant Professor. The Written Test consists of several multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and the total marks for the exam are 300. Candidates need to score at least 50% marks to pass the exam. The Final Merit List will be made on the basis of Performance of Candidates in both the Paper I and Paper II Exam. This means, if you score higher, you have a better chance of selection.
The exam is divided into two papers. Paper 1 checks the candidate’s general knowledge and thinking skills. It includes 75 questions for 100 marks and covers topics like reasoning, comprehension, general awareness and divergent thinking etc. On the other hand, Paper 2 is based on the candidate’s chosen subject. It also has 75 questions, but it carries 200 marks and it evaluates your overall knowledge on your selected subjects, its application and analysis.
Both the Paper I and Paper II exam consists of 150 questions in total and candidates get 3 hours to complete it. There is no negative marking, which means no marks will be deducted if you make wrong answers. The exam is held in one stage only and everything is based on how well you do in this test. Performing well in both papers is important if you want to make your name in the final merit list.

Assam SLET Paper II Syllabus
Paper II of the Assam SLET is based on the subject chosen by the candidate. It has 100 multiple-choice questions and carries 200 marks in total. This paper checks how well the candidate knows their subject and how they can apply that knowledge. It organizes in offline mode and there is no negative marking.

If you want to crack the Assam SLET in a short time, I wil suggest you to follow a smart and focused study plan. You should stick to the methods I’ve shared, avoid distractions like social media and make a daily routine that includes revision and practice of Previous Year Question Papers.
You have to give more time on those topics you studied throughout the week, and solve mock tests regularly in order to improve your timing to solve questions, speed and accuracy. Stay consistent, stay calm and finally, you have to believe the process I shared above. If you follow this strictly, you’ll have a huge chance to see your name on the final merit list.
