The salary for the posts will be as per Pay Band No. 2 (Rs. 14,000–70,000) and Pay Band No. 1 (Rs. 12,000–52,000) with respective Grade Pay. Additional allowances like HRA, DA, etc., will be applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification (as on 01/01/2026):
- Forester Grade-I: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Sub-Officer & Constable (WO/WT):Â H.S. (Science) with PCM.
- Forest Guard/Game Watcher/Constable (UB):Â H.S. (10+2) or equivalent.
- AFPF Constable/Constable (Grade-III)/Bandman/Bugler:Â HSLC or equivalent.
- Boatman:Â HSLC + Proficiency in swimming.

- Forester/Forest Guard/Game Watcher/Constable (Grade-III)/Bandman/Bugler: 18–40 years.

Assam Forest Guard Selection Process 2026
The selection is based on multiple stages:
