1. ASSISTANT CONSERVATOR OF FOREST
No. of Vacancies: 25 Nos. (UR-12, SEBC-03, SC-04, ST-07. Out of which 01 post is reserved for ESM & 01 post of SP)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution with at least one of the following subjects namely, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and Zoology or a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2019.
Basic Pay: Rs.56,100/- per month.
2. FOREST RANGER
No. of Vacancies: 42 Nos. (UR-24, SEBC-13, SC-02, ST-03. Out of which 01 post is reserved for ESM & 01 post of SP)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution with at least one of the following subjects namely, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and Zoology or a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2019.
Basic Pay: Rs.44,900/- per month.
Note: For both the above posts, the candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia, and have passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject OR have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as a language subject OR have passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above from any school affiliated to CBSE or ICSC recognized by State Govt. or the Govt. of India OR have passed a test in Odia language in Middle School Standard conducted by Govt. School & Mass Education Department of Odisha/ Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
The vacancies are under Forest & Environment Department.
Reserved Category candidates from the States other than Odisha shall be treated as General Candidates.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 163 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — 84 cms; Chest (expanded) — 89 cms
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 150 cms; Chest — 79 cms; Chest (expanded) — 84 cms
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Standard Test, Physical Endurance Test and Viva Voce Test.
The Written Examination is likely to be held on 14/04/2019. The examination will be held at Cuttack.
