BDL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
The eligibility conditions for BDL Recruitment 2026 for Graduate and Diploma Apprentice posts are explained below.
BDL Apprentice Educational Qualification
Category-I: Graduate (Engg.) Apprentices
- A degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a recognised University; OR
- A degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degrees by an Act of Parliament.
Category-II: Diploma (Engg.) Apprentices
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in the relevant discipline; OR
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in the relevant discipline.
Note: Candidates must have passed out in November 2023/2024/2025/2026.
BDL Apprentice Age Limit
Age limit will be followed as per the Apprenticeship Rules.
BDL Apprentice Other Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973, and/or having one year or more experience are not eligible to apply.
- All candidates applying for apprenticeship must have a valid Aadhaar-seeded bank account.
- Percentage of marks in the Graduate/Diploma examination is mandatory — candidates must compulsorily enter the percentage of marks in the column “% of marks / CGPA x 10” in the NATS Portal. If the percentage of marks is not furnished, their candidature will not be considered.
BDL Apprentice Reservation 2026
Guidelines under the Apprentices Act on reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS will be followed. Candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS shall provide a certificate as per the Government standard format — if they fail to do so, their claim for reservation will be considered as ‘General’ category only. BC candidates claiming OBC category should bring an OBC certificate as per the Government-prescribed (OBC) format from the certificate-issuing authority of the Tahsildar.
BDL Apprentice Physical Standards 2026
Minimum physical standards shall be as prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, and amendments thereof, if any.
BDL Apprentice 2026 Selection Procedure
Candidates who successfully apply for BDL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will go through the following stages:
- Shortlisting — among the applications received within the notified dates for apprenticeship in BDL Bhanur Unit, candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in the essential qualification and as per the categories of General/SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS.
- Certificate Verification — the shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate verification.
- Preliminary Offer Letter — if selected, a Preliminary Offer Letter will be issued at the time of certificate verification only, for joining.
Note: The date of certificate verification and date of joining will be intimated separately by BDL, Bhanur, Sangareddy to the shortlisted candidates. No TA/DA will be paid for attending certificate verification and joining, and no boarding or lodging expenses are admissible.

- The duration of Apprenticeship Training will be one year, as per the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973.
