STENO ASSISTANT SUB INSPECTOR IN BIHAR POLICE
No. of Vacancies: 174 Nos. (SC-28, ST-02, EBC-31, BC-92. Out of the total posts, 59 posts are reserved for Female candidates)
Educational Qualification:
i) 10+2 examination or equivalent examination pass.
ii) Candidates must possess Diploma in computer from recognised Institute/ Centre.
iii) Should have Computer knowledge (MS Office and Internet usage).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2018. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories is as per Govt. norms. See pdf below.
Reserved categories of State other than Bihar will be treated as General candidates.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs.2800/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination (Preliminary and Main Written Examination), Stenography test, Typing Test and Computer knowledge test.
Shorthand Test – 80 wpm in Hindi Stenography for 5 minutes and transcribe the same within 20 minutes.
Typing Test – 30 wpm in Hindi and English on computer.
