BITS Pilani Tuition-Blind Admissions for Top 500 BITSAT Rankers (AY 2026-27)

Starting in AY 2026-27, BITS Pilani introduced tuition-blind admissions for the top 500 BITSAT rankers. Eligible candidates with an annual family income of up to ₹20 lakh receive a full tuition scholarship for all four years, subject to maintaining a minimum CGPA of 7.5 at their respective campuses. This is not a scholarship students must apply for after joining; rather, it is an assurance built into the admission offer, ensuring that top performers can choose BITS based on aspiration and opportunity, not affordability.

This initiative is enabled by growing alumni support and sustained institutional investment. Over the coming years, BITS intends to expand this coverage progressively, with the long-term goal of moving towards tuition-blind admissions for all.

BITS Pilani Scholarship for 2+2 Dual Degree Programmes with Foreign Universities

The merit and merit-cum-need scholarships are also available to students admitted to the 2+2 Dual Degree programmes with foreign Universities, but only for the first two years, depending on their overall performance in BITSAT (at the time of admission for the First Semester) among all students admitted through BITSAT in all the schemes, and overall performance among all students at their respective Campuses in the subsequent semesters admitted through BITSAT in all the schemes in their batch.

However, the percentage of tuition fee waiver for students admitted to the 2+2 Dual Degree programmes with foreign Universities should be capped at the same level as the fee waiver granted to the students admitted to the regular 4-/5-year programmes at the Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. For the remaining two years, such students may avail the scholarship benefits provided by the respective foreign Universities as per their eligibility criteria mentioned in the respective admission brochure — BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy, BITS-UB (UBITS) 2+2 International Collaborative Programmes, BITS-ISU 2+2 International Collaborative Programmes, BITS-CSP 2+2 International Collaborative Programmes, and BITS-RPI 2+2 International Collaborative Programme.
