BSNL Senior Executive Trainee Selection Process 2026: CBT Phase
The BSNL SET CBT is an online objective test of 200 marks with 180 minutes duration.
- The exam consists of two parts: Part-I (Aptitude) and Part-II (Technical)
- There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
- Sectional qualifying marks apply for both parts separately
- The exam will be conducted in one shift across various centers

BSNL SET Selection Process 2026: Document Verification Phase
Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for Document Verification based on merit.
- Shortlisted candidates must present original documents for verification
- Required documents include: Age proof, Educational certificates, Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), PwBD certificate, EWS certificate
- Category certificates must be issued on or after April 1, 2025
- No change in category will be allowed after application submission
Minimum Qualifying Marks & Final Merit List
Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in both sections and overall:

BSNL Senior Executive Trainee Probation, Training and Bond
Training Period:
52 weeks training including:
- Common Managerial Training: 13 weeks
- Functional Stream Training: 13 weeks
- On-Job Training: 26 weeks
Probation:
- 2 years probation running concurrently with training
- Probation may be extended by 6 months if training is not completed successfully
- Failure in extended period may lead to cancellation of appointment
Bond:
- Selected candidates must execute a bond of ₹9 lakhs
- Mandatory service period: Minimum 5 years in BSNL
