BTSC Food Analyst Eligibility Criteria 2026

Before applying, candidates must ensure they fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of application.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from a university established by law in India in any of the following subjects: Chemistry, Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry, Agriculture Science, Veterinary Science, Fisheries Science, Bio-technology, Food Safety, Food Technology, Food and Nutrition, Dairy Technology, Oil Technology, or Veterinary Science; or any other equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government and prescribed by the competent authority, with a minimum of three years’ experience in food analysis. Additionally, candidates must have passed the Food Analyst examination conducted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), New Delhi.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs. 100/- for all candidates, as per GO No. 15568 dated 21.08.2025 of the General Administration Department. Payment must be made online only, through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI. Bank charges applicable during online payment will be borne by the candidate. Candidates should download and keep the payment receipt safely.
