There are two types of scholarships available under this scheme. The monthly rates vary based on the course of study and the percentage of marks obtained in the last annual examination.
A. General Scholarship Rates

CCL CIL Scholarship Offline Form 2026
The application process has commenced. Candidates applying for the first time for Graduation/Engineering/Medical courses must attach their Class-XII mark sheet. The duly filled application form, along with the verified mark sheet (attested by the Controlling Officer), self-attested bank passbook copy, and mobile number/email ID, must be sent to the Welfare Department, CCL Headquarters, Darbhanga House, Ranchi – 834001 before 30th September 2026.
Central Coalfields Limited CIL Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates interested in applying must meet the following criteria:
Relationship: Must be a son/daughter of a CCL employee.
Bank Account: The student must have their own bank account in their name.
Educational Qualification:
- General Stream (BA/B.Sc/B.Com): Minimum 60% in last annual exam.
- Engineering/Medical: Minimum 70% in last annual exam.
- ITI/Polytechnic: Minimum 75% in last annual exam.
- Class V to XII: Minimum 70% to 80% depending on class.
Merit Scholarship: Must have secured top 20 rank (State Board) or 95%+ marks (CBSE/ICSE).
