Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The candidates who qualify in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be eligible for becoming Teacher for Primary Stage (Classes I-V) and Elementary Stage (Classes VI-VIII). Interested and eligible candidates may apply Online only through the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) (See URL below). No. CBSE/CTET/Sept.2018. CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET)

 

i) Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR 
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.

ii) Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 01 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 01 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 01 year B.Ed. (Special Education).

 

Note: Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD).

The test will be conducted in 92 cities all over the country. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted on 16/09/2018.

The candidates who qualify in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be eligible for becoming Teacher for Primary Stage (Classes I-V) and Elementary Stage (Classes VI-VIII).

A candidate who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI) shall be eligible for appearing in the CTET.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.600/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST/PWD) for Only Paper – I or II and Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PWD) for Both Paper – I & II as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) — https://ctet.nic.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 22/06/2018 to 19/07/2018.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
