KOLKATA POLICE IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 250 POSTS OF CIVIC VOLUNTEERS. LAST DATE — 23/01/2019
1. CIVIC VOLUNTEERS
No. of Vacancies: 250 Nos.
Unit wise vacancies:
i) Wireless Branch, Kolkata Police: 60 posts
ii) Kolkata Home Guard Organization: 100 posts
iii) North & North Suburban Division, Kolkata Police: 50 posts
iv) Eastern Suburban Division, Kolkata Police: 40 posts
Educational Qualification:
i) Class VIII pass.
ii) Preference would be given to the candidates who have done well in sports and have experience as NCC Cadet/ Boy Scouts/ NSS Guide/ Civil Defence Volunteers etc.
iii) Should not have any criminal record against him/ her in any Police Station.
iv) Should be physically and mentally fit.
v) Preferably a resident of the area under the Kolkata Police jurisdiction.
vi) Preference will be given to the candidates, applying for Wireless Branch, having valid Driving Licence and working experience as Motor Mechanic etc.
vii) Preference will be given to the candidates, applying for Kolkata Home Guard Organization, having working experience as Security Guard and they may be deployed for Correctional Service related duties.
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 60 years as on 01/01/2019.
The vacancies are under different units of Kolkata Police. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply. The selected candidates will undergo a two weeks’ Training course.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.

Last Date and Address: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures should reach at the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police of concerned Unit (for more details please see the Official Advt.), on or before 23/01/2019 by 05:00 PM.
